If making a card, use double-sided sticky strip attach to the back of the window opening of a window card. If making a framed picture either place a piece of white paper after the glass to give a neutral background making it easier to see the painting or create a background that greetings the painting (the sun-bonnet sue painting has a backdrop made of fabric sewn together to show the grass, hedge and sky and appliquéd flower-patterned fabric to show through the painted dress).

Dip your paintbrush into a pot of glass paint and cautiously flood the chosen area with it by putting a drop of paint in the area and gently easing it towards the sketch. Make sure that the paint covers the area but does not go over the sketch. This may need repeating quite a few times depending on the size of the area. Complete one area previous to going on to another. Use a clean paintbrush for each color or clean the brush carefully with turpentine substitute or white spirit and drying it with kitchen paper before dipping into a different color.

Working mostly in pastels, acrylics and oils, Patricia's Still Life, Landscape and Nudes are inspired by the French Impressionists. Her original vibrant paintings are now accessible to purchase for your home or business.

In addition, some pictures have been reproducing as limited edition high quality giclée prints. See the Prints for Sale page for the current range.

The artist’s description is pretty much exact; the paintings are without doubt influenced by the impressionists of the past. I almost desire artists who paint still life, I did try once and it's much more difficult than you may think. Let's take the bowl of lemons, and the melon, on the right, we are looking down on to the topic, the perspective is exceedingly difficult to draw correctly yet Patricia makes it all seem easy.

This painting is another in what might be careful my trademark in that it is a surrealistic statement of Christian symbolism. Toward me the white dove of the Holy Spirit and the crown of suffering along with the skyline of Jerusalem are noticeable. But did you know that while the Temple existed, as a marriage rite the groom would wear a crown of roses which speaks of a king approaching for his bride? And the crown of pain is even now being twisted into that garland of roses that even now preparations for the wedding of the lamb are happening!

A fondness for painting dazzling colorful images with the thick black outline characteristics of a comic creates images that are attractive, fun and appropriate for wide usage from innovative art in offices, to poster prints for students, digital images for mobile phone, book illustrations and thumbnail icons. The limit is only the mind's eye, which is why this art is so appropriate for adverts and magazines too.

Drawing motivation from different areas of pop culture, the power of the artist's heros that include Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein, shine during these acrylic paintings on canvas. Magazines, the work of comic book cartoonist, and adverts are also fascinated for ideas that play on 70's and 60's pop culture.

The paints are derivative from natural. The Nakkash are a group of people of painters residing in the quaint Andhra town. For centuries, they have been creation colorful works on canvas, known as paintings. The themes of the paintings are resulting from the Indian epics, mythology and nature.

The power of Mughal miniature paintings has found its way in the Paintings since the medieval period. The miniature works are done on soft white wood called Ponniki, which is hardened by smear it with tamarind seed paste and layer it with fine muslin and pipe clay. The colors used are extracting from plants and minerals. Against a dark background, the paintings are highlighted in gold color derivative from herbal juices.

If you are planning a birthday party for your pre-teen, or planning a fun project for your group to do at their next meeting, this idea might be just right for you. Painting on foam sun visors is easy to do and will also give you a great sun hat to wear to the beach, out in the garden, or even when you play golf.

There is no preparation that has to be done prior to painting. They are very easy to paint on for those who are new to painting. They are also very affordable and will allow you to keep the fee for the project to a minimum.

This type of sun visor is easy to obtain. Many of your local craft and hobby stores stock them. All you have to do is find the time to stop by to pick them up. If you are unsure, you might want to call first to make sure they are in stock. Depending on the amount needed, it may be necessary for you to order them.

I would suggest either coming up with possible designs that can be painted on them prior to your gathering, or just allow each person access to the paint, the painting tools, and let their imagination get the best of them. They could do funky designs with different types of paint brushes, polka dots, or use stamps to create their designs. Stencils could be used with this project. You might even suggest that each person bring something from home they might like to use on their visor.

One can’t assist but wonder number of nattily decent citizens sitting countless nights at International auction houses viz. Sotheby’s, Christie’s and Phillips de Pury in coming after that two weeks. A good percentage could be of serious bidders and others would be voyeurs eager to watch an implosion of art market. It’s now being years that collectors and media have been to come for the day when prices would finally top. But this time sale houses are hopeful that time will take a toll and things will play out well as they did three months ago in London, when, in spite of global financial nausea, a Francis Bacon triptych painting fetched $51.6 million.

Small paintings are today among the most sought after souvenirs from Rajasthan. All major centers of miniatures, namely Kishangarh, Udaipur, Jaipur and Marwar have their own styles of depicting spiritual and court scenes. Paintings of women are another theme, which Kishangarh has perfect as the Indian Mona Lisa.

Pichhwais of Nathdwara wholly show the scenes of life of Lord Krishna. Phad is another style painted on long cloths using red colors, which habitually depict the entire life story of popular local legend Pabuji.

Painting to culture

One of my long-ago times as a child was looking at my parent's art books. I didn't like leaving to the museum. That meant short-lived up an afternoon of play and stuffing for me into clothing that made me feel claustrophobic. It meant being eyed doubtfully by curators who I now understand were guarding treasures for the public good. But back then I simply didn't like the feeling of not being trusted.

When I got a little older, I in progress looking at bookstores as kinder, gentler museums. My all time favorites for cheap artistic thrills are museum catalogues. I go to Strand's bookstore, which has display catalogues of all kinds of artwork, from 19th century American painting to sculpture to European furnishings.

Even better is the letters of art post cards. They are a reasonably priced way to own something beautiful. Though it may be true that nothing can contrast to an original painting, I seldom have time for such delight.

What I liked about looking at an art book is that I didn't have to trade an afternoon of play for creative enjoyment. My parents told me that some day I would be grateful for all the trips to museums. The only error they made was calling it "culture". That held no petition for me at all. I liked it much better when they just said that someone tinted really great pictures. Even today, looking at a good painting is like consumption a good Pilsner with my eyes.

I get a lot of emails with questions about the beeswax tech paintings that I use for my paintings. So, I decided to make a video loyal to the technique exclusively. This painting is a good instance because it uses lots of different types of papers which react to the beeswax differently. It's attractive technical...with no fun music...but I expect you'll still like it.
